Hilton Brass is the Peninsula's preeminent, professional, brass ensemble. The quintet, which is composed of local musicians, has delighted area audiences with its exciting and diverse musical offerings since 1983. The group has an extensive repertoire of music, ranging from Bach to Bacharach, Handel to Husa, and Mozart to Mancini. Its members are all professional musicians, comfortable with all styles of music. The Hilton Brass is also at home in any setting, including church services, weddings, receptions, concerts, ceremonies, recitals, graduations and parties.
Hilton Brass has performed in variety of musical situations including local events such as Grand Illumination in Colonial Williamsburg, First Night Williamsburg, the Life Enrichment Series and Newport News Arts in the Parks. The quintet has also been featured in area concerts such as the Brass at Newport News, the Mariner's Museum Series and the Smithfield Times Summer Series. Other notable performances include the French Festival and the North Carolina Duck Village Fair. In addition, Hilton has performed benefit concerts for the Cape Charles Convalescent Center and the Tidewater Multiple Sclerosis Society and each May, Hilton Brass is a part of Regent University’s nationally televised commencement ceremony on C-SPAN.
